This may seem a lot of money for a safe lock - as much as many small safes - but this lock allows a lot of options for those in charge of the safe keeping of cash or other valuables.
The lock is designed on the now standard Euro footprint and as such will fit the majority of serious safes being supplied within the industry today. For the money you get a list of features as long as your arm: time lock, time delay, single, dual or triple user capibility, up to 50 users, low battery warning and an audit trail showing the last 1,000 events. But what does this mean for you - the user.
Imagine that you run a business which is open all day or possibly even through the night. There are 20 staff all of whom need access to the safe. With this lock you can give each member of staff their own P.I.N. (personal identification number) with which to open the safe and set it with or without a time delay. For the staff working through the night, you could set their codes to dual user. You can set their codes to only work during the night or for added safety, only between the hours of 6am and 8am when there are more staff present. You can set the lock so that it will not open at times when the business is closed such as bank holidays, factory shutdown, Christmas etc. If necessary, you can get the lock to give you a list of the last 1,000 times the lock was accessed and by who.
With these measures, you can help to ensure not only the safety of your cash but of your staff too. It is surprising how quickly word gets around regarding what day you bank the firms cash, where the key is kept or what the combination is - especially in pubs, clubs and shops where there can be a high turnover of staff. Procedures such as dual access means that there has to be at least 2 people present in order to open the safe. The time delay can be set from 1 minute to 99 minutes so that in the event of someone being forced to open the safe, the would-be thief would have to wait until the delay time runs out before being able to access the contents of the safe. Experience shows that most won't wait and usually scarper before the time delay runs out. The time lock feature keeps out everyone until the correct time for the safe to open. These features not oly help to keep staff safe, they also help to ensure that staff are not tempted to stray because they know that it is possible to track who opened the safe and at what time.
The Revo 'B' is available from Bradleys now and can be fitted as a single lock on your safe or as an additional lock on many of the safes supplied by us. |
